Let this be the year The year I stop doing all the shit I hate doing The year I start doing all the things I've been putting off The year I stand in my own power, and The year I allow myself to fall apart so I can finally come together the way I was meant to.

Let this be the year I write I sing I create I travel I see each place I venture to as totally new and with fresh eyes.

Let this be the year I sit down with my kids and just be there No work, no phone, no distractions Just little stories And big questions And sticky little hands that slip in to mine.

Let this be the year The year I take the leap The chance The first step The last… The year I close all of the old doors And step, with a clear head and whole heart, through the new ones.

Let this be the year The year I feel more and more like myself And less and less like the person I thought I should be.
